Graves-Harrington was born in Gulfport, Mississippi to the late Frank Earl Graves, Sr. and Jacqueline Patricia Theodore-Graves.

Graves-Harrington has always had a passion for justice.  She got her first taste of litigation inside of the courtroom as a member of the award-winning Jim Hill High School Mock Trial Team. Under the tutelage of attorneys from Jackson’s Legal Aid Clinic, she received a first-hand view of forceful advocacy.  She began to develop her legal research and trial advocacy skills and soon realized she was destined to become a seeker of truth and justice.

Graves-Harrington’s commitment to volunteerism and academic excellence earned her a full scholarship to Mississippi State University.  During her time at Mississippi State University, she realized her passion for helping young children.  She dedicated her free time to children who attended the Oktibbeha County Headstart Center, where she learned that showing compassion for the underprivileged provided them with a sense of hope and inclusion. She knew then that her life would be one of service.

Graves-Harrington continued her education at Jackson State University, where she remained on Dean’s List while working full-time as a software analyst for a Fortune 500 Company and serving as a corporate site coordinator for the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi.  She also became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Graves-Harrington attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law on a full academic scholarship.  She was active in several community-based organizations, including the Earl Carl Institute, NAACP (student volunteer), and the Black Law Student Association (President).  She also served as Secretary of the Student Bar Association and Symposium Editor of the TMSL Law Review.  Graves-Harrington was also an intern for the Texas Southern University Office of the General Counsel and the Honorable George Hanks with the Texas 1st Court of Appeals.

Upon graduation from law school, Harrington was afforded the invaluable opportunity to work with The Honorable Craig A. Washington, where she learned to be an advocate for her clients and the community at large. The plethora of knowledge obtained by observation and hands-on work while at the Law Office of Craig A. Washington cemented her desire to be a trial attorney.

Graves-Harrington looks forward to serving the 246th Judicial District Family Court with compassion, integrity, and respect.

Graves-Harrington lives in Houston with Darryl, her wonderful husband of nearly 16 years, and their two awesome sons, Daylen (14) and Aiden (6).
